Community Night for students and parents was held at Mountain Education Charter High School (MEC) on Sept. 27. Community agencies were on hand to provide information regarding their services. Agencies represented included Avita Community Partners, North Georgia Technical School and Vocational Rehabilitation. Students attended workshops that included car maintenance and finances. They also enjoyed games and art activties.
Family Connection, along with MEC staff, provided a clothes closet for students and parents to shop. Goody bags were provided for expecting and parenting students which included health information, bibs and burp cloths. There was a selection of infant-toddler clothing available also. The event was enjoyed by all.
