On Dec. 12th, we had some great help setting up for our annual Coat Give Away from our local 4-H club and the Family Resource Center of NE GA. Thanks to the generosity of the Circle of Hope, the Habersham BOE, and various anonymous donors, we had 170 bags of coats and many donations of socks, hats, gloves, and other misc. items to put on our tables. On Dec. 13th, we offered these winter items to families who attended the Cornelia Kawanis Club’s Toys for Kids event at the First Baptist Church of Cornelia.  With the help of  our volunteer, Jami Ivester of the Family Resource Center, we finished the day having provided winter coats and hoodies to 499 children, as well as adults.  In our  7+ years of providing this service, this was the biggest coat event yet!  Thank you volunteers and donors !!!
